These 3 things can be done in even old e.g. 2015 or older iTunes but not in CopyTrans. Two can be done in older free SharePod. All are really essential for listening to e.g. podcasts/speech files.
Add ability to set:
(i) Type (e.g. Audiobook) and
(ii) Remember position
- can both be set in SharePod 3.9.9 but seemingly not in Copytrans Manager;
(iii) specify volume level for one or more tracks - can be set in iTunes but it seems, not in either SharePod or in Copytrans Manager.
iTunes has been a major headache in Windows 10 so will resort to using it under Windows 7 which works fine and maybe try a Linux alternative when dual-boot instal is done of e.g. Ubuntu Mate.
It says on copytrans that I have all the songs in each playlist but when I disconnect my ipod, the ipod says only like half of the songs are in the playlists even though the ipod also says it has the same amount of songs as copytrans says, only I can't find the newly added ones. Please help?
On high definition screens, even after increasing font size in the general Windows 11 settings, Copy Trans Manager has an interface which is almost unreadable, especially because in itself the Copy Trans Manager does not offer high contrast. The used font is more greyish than really black.
This app is something I've used for a long time since I've had a dislike towards itunes. I just have some small ideas to mention....
~ A dark theme would be nice.
~ The ability to bring music to the pc from an ipod/iphone would be useful. The app is currently only a one-way mode in where music is loaded to.
This is a great alternative to itunes that I've used for quite some time, but it takes some time to boot up. I noticed this app is packed with themida, which is most likely the reason for the slow start.
There's nothing wrong with protecting a product, but be careful not to sacrifice the performance.
I have some audio books on my device, but several are sorted under 'Podcasts'.
It would be great if I could change this to 'Audio books', so that I will have all of my audio books in one place.
The drop-down menu (for media types) does not drop down, so I cannot change this now.
I downloaded this because i read that i would not need itunes to transfer music from my computer to iphone. After downloading, it says i need to download itunes or a bunch of drivers to run the app. the purpose of downloading this was to avoid itunes. And i would not have downloaded this if i knew i needed extra drivers either.
Thank you for the suggestion!
