It would be great to be able to add sources to CopyTrans Studio

I'm already backing up my iPhone, but I have several USB drives that I'd like to backup in the same way. It would be great to be able to add additional sources to backup them.

The ability to strip private information (physical location/date/time/phone identifying information) from photos before they are sent to third-parties.

Perhaps a separate folder where photos could be placed to automatically strip out identifying information.

Allow drag and drop of photo albums from my PC to the "Sync from computer"/ "From my Mac" folder

I keep all my back up folders of years of family pictures on my PC and want to transfer them back to my iPhone, once organised, to view and share. It is not possible to copy folders from the PC to the "Sync from Computer" folders. iTunes used to do it (slow) and the Apple Transfer app takes forever and keeps crashing. Can you add this feature so I can drag and drop them over?

If you want to transfer photos from Pc to "Frim my Mac" folder, please use CopyTrans Photo: https://www.copytrans.net/copytransphoto/

The function is supported there.

I wish I could convert heic files to jpg or png files of lower resolution, with options of image quality compression for the user to pick

Collaboration with online printing services

In Japan, the use of online printing services to print photos is becoming more common.

Being able to print photos at convenience stores such as 7-Eleven is particularly convenient in rural areas where population is decreasing.

For this reason, I think it would be convenient to have a "button for online printing services" on the main interface.

Viewer on the iCloud photo folder

I use iCloud to sync the photos to my windows pc. It is difficult to view the files on that folder. I would like to you CopyTrans also as a viewer for this folder.

Downloading raw photos copied from a camera to the iPad/iPhone

It would be very helpful if I could download raw photos stored on my iPad from my Fuji camera, which I manually transferred to my iPad using an SD card. Unfortunately, Apple has not provided a way to access, move, or delete these photos in the current iOS version. This is a known issue, and the only workaround is to edit and move the photos using Lightroom on the iPad. A solution using your software would therefore be very helpful.

Shared Photo Albums

Currently when backing up shared photos, they are not in the albums they have on the iPhone. This would be very helpful, because currently the photos are mixed and not sorted by albums.

Leider habe ich nie englisch gelernt und werde es mit 78 Jahren auch nicht mehr lernen, ich möchte es in deutscher Sprache benutzen können!

Allow 'Updates Frequency' option in settings.

First of all, thanks for the good work.

Getting told there is a new update every day is frustrating and intrusive.

Under Settings, About, kindly add an option for Updates Frequency= Daily, Weekly, Monthly or never.

More features for batch rename while backing up

It really took me a while to find out how the batch renaming of a bunch of (e.g. holiday) photos worked - only to find out that it is only possible in predefined texts from predefined fields. I'd appreciate to have also a free text field with consecutive numbering.

I would like the ability to filter photos by their original source before transferring or converting them.

I would like the ability to filter photos by their original source before transferring or converting them.

In particular, I want to be able to select only photos and videos that were actually taken with my own iPhone (using its camera), while excluding images that came from other sources — for example, photos received through WhatsApp, Messages, email, AirDrop, downloads, screenshots, or images saved from other apps.

Ideally, CopyTrans Studio could identify the source using the available photo metadata and offer filters such as:

  • Taken with this iPhone / Camera photos only
  • Screenshots
  • Received or imported photos
  • Downloaded/saved images
  • Specific camera/device model

This would make it much easier to back up or convert my personal camera photos without having to manually sort through thousands of other images stored on the iPhone.

When setting up a backup, include the ability to be able to choose to backup photos and/or videos

When setting up the backup, there is no way to exclude or include video files.

Would it be possible during backup setup to exclude the .mov file associated with a Live Photo?

After backing up my photos, I have individual .mov files that were part of the Live Photo associated with a still image. It would be a nice option to exclude the .mov Live Photo part from being backed up
