Allow multiple consecutive “good” answers to increase ease level for cards below default ease level, so as to avoid cards perpetually stuck in ease hell

Wasn't there an add-on that already did this?

This would be a nice add on, not sure if it should be built into the system...

Ive never found an add on that does this properly

I made reddit post about ease hell some time ago:

Most importantly:

  • - Adhere to the 20 Rules. You don't need to be religious with that, but it really helps make a serious effort.

On the technical side:

  • - "Avoid ease hell" (use the easy button more, and don't use hard)
  •  - watch "Guide to Anki Intervals and Learning Steps" on youtube
  •  - Consider the add-on ReMemorize.
  •  - Advantage: It essentially gives can give you a 'super-easy' and a 'piece-a-cake' button
  •  - Disadvantage: More options lead to more decision fatigue
  •  - Consider the add-on Straight Reward
  • - Consider the add-on AvgEase
  • - go for 80-85% retention, not 90%
  •  - Consider adjusting your 'new interval after a lapse' with this add-on
  • - Increase your leech threshold, esp. for less important decks.

This feature was built into the original SM2, it's called the Easy Button (minus the ease bonus added by Anki).

On a side note, I never understood why I needed to double clutch when I down shift to 3rd gear, but that has never prevented me from taking the corner. So screw the overpaid engineer and his silly little flow charts back by statistics and mathematics. If this is what the people voted for, then this is what should be implemented.
